URGENT REQUESTS & TIME CRITICAL POSTINGS

Stateweb is monitored from 8 am - 5 pm M-F only.

    URGENT Requests

URGENT requests are those requests that must be posted by a certain date and time to meet local, state or federal law. This includes meeting and hearing agendas (not meeting minutes), child fatality records, recommendation to award bid letters, etc.

Can Stateweb Post Time Sensitive Postings for my agency?

Please be aware that URGENT postings are those that must be posted by a certain date and time to meet a local, state or federal law.

Since StateWeb is responsible for multiple websites in addition to yours, we must be notified 24 business hours prior to an URGENT or special request in order to ensure we have the time and resources to facilitate your agency’s request. Without the 24 hour notification, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide the back-up support you are interested in having due to our workload and other high priority requests that routinely come from groups that we support.

          Timing of Postings

It is important to note that if you need information or documents posted on the public site by 9:00 a.m., it is necessary to post the information or documents to the staging environment before midnight the night before. The syncs take over an hour to run, so even if the posting is in the staging environment before the 8:30 a.m. sync, it won't appear on the public website until approximately 9:45 a.m.  If you want Stateweb to post the document for you we would need to receive it before 2:00 p.m. the night before to ensure we can get it posted before 5:00 p.m. so that it will appear on the website after the midnight sync completes.

If you need information or documents posted on the public site by 5:00 p.m., it is necessary to post the information or documents to the staging environment before the 2:30 p.m. sync. The syncs take over an hour to run, so even if the posting is in the staging environment before the 4:30 p.m. sync, it may not appear on the public website until approximately 5:45 p.m.

This means that if you need StateWeb to help you get something on the public site by 5:00 p.m., we would need to have it no later than 2:00 p.m. of the day of posting (assuming that you have also met the notification requirements listed above).

Can't Provide the 24 hour prior notification?

Should your board or agency have extremely time-sensitive postings and you don’t believe your agency can provide the 24 hour prior notification, you may want to consider providing additional board or agency staff with access to the system. If so, please send us their names and email addresses and we can set up their user accounts. We will work with them to get them comfortable in the environment if you wish.

                  Running Special Syncs

Special syncs will be performed at our discretion based on when a request is received and how long the sync's are taking to complete and are discouraged as other users depend on regular syncs to post their time sensitive information as well.

Please send all special sync requests to webteam@it.nv.gov directly and place URGENT SPECIAL SYNC REQUEST in the subject line of the email for faster service.
