Paste as Plain Text Button Solves Font Issues
Any time you copy information from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, a web page or from any other electronic means there is code that is brought from the source document into Ektron. This code can produce strange fonts and font sizes when they conflict with the Ektron system fonts.
Recommended Solution: To avoid this issue always use the PASTE AS PLAIN TEXT button.
Font Issues in Rich Area Text Fields (Paragraph Copy Fields)
Is often caused by not using the Paste as Plain text button which strips out any code copied from another program like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and off the internet.
Recommended Solution: Always make sure you paste all text copied from any other program into the Paste as Plain Text window. To fix a problem follow the instructions below (create a new paragraph and copy your text into it making sure to use the Paste as Plain Text button.)
- Copy the bullets with weird font sizes.
- Open a new paragraph copy field and
- make sure you use paste as plain text to copy the bulleted items into the new paragraph copy field
- select the items you want to be bullets
- click the bullet button
- delete the original paragraph copy field with the bullets in it
If you are still getting a weird font at this point, email stateweb@it.nv.gov to have the font issues corrected.
