Silvernet VPN Maintenance Page

*** Important Update ***

Effective immediately, all new VPN accounts and extensions require that the VPN user completes the State's Information Security Awareness training.  Additionally, contractors who hold VPN accounts must have a background check prior to enabling the account.

To access security awareness training, please go to https://nvelearn.nv.gov/ and sign in, or create a new account.  To reach the training, click Course Categories, then State of Nevada Employees, then "Mandatory Training for All Employees", then click "Nevada Information Security Awareness"

Regarding background checks, contractors will need to reach out to their host agency to coordinate the background check.

EITS now requires the agency ISO signature for VPN approval. Please ensure this has been obtained before submitting the form to EITS Help Desk.

The Department of Administration, Enterprise IT Services provides Virtual Private Networking (VPN) access to Silvernet users from anywhere in the world.

The VPN service is available to all State employees or contracted employees.  Fees must be billed to a State of Nevada budget code.  Invoices are sent out monthly for all Silvernet services.  These pages should answer all of your questions about the VPN service, so please peruse them all prior to sending your request for access.
